Showing Up for Myself: The Great Lock-In Challenge 2025

I’ll be honest—I was one of those people who made a New Year’s resolution in January and didn’t even make it past February. Life got in the way, motivation faded, and those goals I swore I’d stick to… they slipped.

But here’s the thing: 2025 isn’t over. Not even close. And instead of waiting until January to “start fresh” again, I’m choosing to lock in right now. I’m calling it my Great Lock-In Challenge, and if you’re reading this, I’d love for you to join me.

3 Things I’m Reminding Myself to Stay Locked In

  1. Keep the promises I make to myself.
I can’t keep saying I’ll do something and then brush it off. Those little promises matter. If I say I’m going to write, walk, or drink more water, I need to actually do it. That’s how self-trust is built.
  2. Take it a little at a time.
I’ve failed enough times to know that trying to overhaul my entire life overnight doesn’t work. What does work is adding small things bit by bit. A new habit here, a small change there. Those little wins stack up.
  3. Track my progress.
What gets measured gets improved. For me, I’ll be tracking my Lock-In Challenge right inside my Google Calendar. It’s simple, free, and it’s always with me on my phone or laptop. You can set up daily reminders, mark off “Day 1, Day 2, Day 3,” and even block time for habits or journaling.
    • Want to take it a step further? Have you tried Google Workspace? It’s a cloud-based productivity suite you can access anywhere on any device that includes Gmail, Drive, Hangouts, and Calendar. Google Workspace is offering a 14-day free trial, and if you sign up using [my link], I can also give you a discount. Let’s Do This Together

This week, I’m taking some time to figure out what I really want to focus on for the rest of the year. Starting next week, I’ll share my list and track my progress right here—for accountability, but also because I know I’m not the only one who needs this.

Let’s finish 2025 strong. Not perfect, but consistent. And consistency? That’s where the real change happens.

Let’s lock in together. ✨
